School of Management Presents Boardroom Roleplay

On October 26, 2023, an engaging academic experience unfolded, led by esteemed Faculty Coordinators Dr. Esha Bansal and Prof. Yugantar Ballal from the School of Management. Termed ‘Boardroom Roleplay’, this distinctive initiative was designed to immerse students in the intricacies of the corporate boardroom environment. The goal was to provide them with a lifelike experience, fostering a hands-on understanding of executive-level dynamics.

In this dynamic exercise, students assumed diverse executive roles such as CEOs, CMOs, CFOs, CHOs, CTOs, and R&D Heads. This active participation allowed them to delve into the inner workings of corporate boardrooms, engaging in discussions that closely mirrored real-world scenarios and challenges faced by top-level executives.

The outcomes of the ‘Boardroom Roleplay’ were twofold. Firstly, students gained valuable insights into the functioning of a corporate boardroom, comprehending the intricate nature of discussions that unfold within such high-stakes environments. Secondly, the activity provided a platform for students to explore BSE-listed companies, offering a practical glimpse into the product launch strategies and growth tactics adopted by these corporations.

This hands-on experience not only broadened the students’ understanding but also provided a realistic preview into the corporate world. By simulating executive-level discussions and decision-making processes, the ‘Boardroom Roleplay’ equipped students with practical knowledge and skills, preparing them to thrive in the complex and dynamic business landscape they will encounter in their future careers.
