Vaishnavi Arun Vishe, a 3rd-year B.Des student specializing in Product Design, recently competed in the 33rd MAHARASHTRA State Junior Kyorugi & 10th Poomase Taekwondo Championship & Raigad District Taekwondo Championship 2024-25 at the national level. She won a bronze medal for 3rd place and a gold medal for 1st place.
Vaishnavi started playing Taekwondo in second grade and is a national-level player. Returning to Taekwondo after a break felt like reconnecting with a part of herself. The skills and discipline she developed over the years came back like muscle memory. The excitement of being back in the ring, hearing familiar voices, and feeling the adrenaline was exhilarating. It’s great to see her enjoying something she is so passionate about, especially on a national level. This shows her dedication and love for the game.

We had the privilege of hosting Mr. Satyajit Thakur, Head of Honeywell-HUE Studio, Bengaluru, and Global Leader for Honeywell Fire Products, for a captivating User Research workshop on 2nd September 2024 at the ADYPU School of Design. With nearly 20 years of global experience in product and service design, Satyajit shared invaluable insights on understanding users, business, and technology.
Our students explored essential user research methodologies, learning how to gather and analyze data, integrate user feedback into design, and embrace ethical practices such as privacy and consent. With hands-on experience, they also discovered tools for research and the ethical use of Gen AI in research. This workshop provided an excellent foundation for developing impactful user-centered designs.
